Who They Are

The Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) has spent decades championing Canadian literature for young people. With a commitment to promoting literacy, the CCBC works tirelessly to ensure that Canadian children have access to books that reflect their diverse voices, experiences, and dreams. By placing quality children’s books into homes, schools, and libraries, they are cultivating a new generation of readers and thinkers, fostering empathy and imagination from coast to coast.

How It Works

Every BiblioGift recipient has the option to select a book or make a charitable choice. If they choose, rather than receiving a book themselves, they can direct us to make a donation on their behalf to The Canadian Children’s Book Centre. This donation goes directly to supplying Canadian children’s classrooms with new books, extending the reach of every gift to inspire learning and a love of reading across Canada.
